As we say goodbye to the latest evicted house-guest Jeremy, we here at SlopDuJour are happy to say goodbye to the only holder of the never-not pass.
It is a big week in the Big Brother 15 house, and with this weeks “twist” (America’s MVP nomination) the house has been full of accusations, speculations, a bit of deep thought and the really wild idea that Elissa nominated herself for eviction. Most of all, paranoia galore! There is something about being in that house that seems to make a logical person throw away all centered thought and think everyone is coming after you. The house guests have been taking guesses about what the twist could be, and really Andy and Spencer have both described exactly what it is, however everyone else poo-poo’s it as if it were the furthest from possibility. Ah the Big Brother house, finally feeling a bit more like previous seasons.
The have nots this week were picked in a “All you can eat” Fro-Yo competition shown on Sunday’s show, and a sigh of disbelief came over Jessie, Andy, Spencer and Candice who lost the competition and are now all being subjected once again to the have not beds, cold showers, America’s choice foods and the dreaded Big Brother Slop!
America is being pretty kind in their voting, and Big Brother gave the have-not’s macaroni and mangoes to add to the list of things they have to fill there empty bellies. Many types of Mango including, fresh, dried and even fruit roll ups were given to break up the hardship of being a have not.
Amanda and Elissa have really been the only people attempting to get creative with their fare and they are not even have nots this week! But kindness to others can be key in this game of strategy, so they have continued to make the Have Not Muffins from the chocolate protein powder they are allowed, and Slop Balls ( a concoction of slop bound with BBQ sauce, Guacamole or Salsa) which Helen made back in week one.
Amanda attempted to make fettuccine alfredo in a have and have not version for the house last night. Cheese being a key ingredient in alfredo sauce, the have not batch was more of a thickened milk sauce, which did not get very thick, but Jesse did say was tasty. The Have variety also brought some yum to the house, but if she had followed some cooking tips from SlopDuJour she would have been much happier with the result. Here is a recipe for a simple alfredo sauce that you can try at home!
Alfredo Sauce (For the Have’s)
Ingredients
- 3 Tablespoons Flour
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 Tsp. Pepper
- 1/4 Tsp. Cayenne Pepper
- 3 Cups Milk

Directions
Melt butter in pan, add flour and whisk until butter has a bit of the smell of fresh bread
Add milk about 1/2 cup at a time while whisking

When all milk is added, slowly add cheese and spices and melt completely (DO NOT LET BOIL!) Remove from heat, the sauce will thicken as it cools.
